That’s interesting that things like pesticides will contaminate water as well. I never knew so many things could be damaging to the water. I should make sure I try and eliminate any sources of water contamination if possible, so I’ll make sure to ask about that with anyone I hire to help me work on the house.

That’s good to know that reverse osmosis will remove 99% of the contaminants in the water. I would think that if only less than 1% of it is left, then it would likely not be that bad for you. Having water that is almost 100% clean sounds like it is about as good as it can get, so I should look into getting a pump with a reverse osmosis filter for my well.

My partner and I are thinking about getting a filtration system that we can use because our tap water is really gross. We don’t like how hard it is because it leaves behind minerals in the tea kettle for example. It’s amazing that reverse osmosis water can take out such a large percentage of contaminants.

My parents have a pretty large property that they want to put some water wells on. I think it’s a great idea because then they don’t have to worry about the city providing their water supply. I’ll let them know about iron bacteria and how they can occur naturally.

That’s good to know that adding too much chlorine would be bad for your health. I could see how adding too little would be bad for you as well. I should consider getting someone to add the chlorine for me so I know its exactly the right amount to keep m,y water safe to drink.

My parents are thinking about getting a new well on their property this spring. They don’t want to rely on the city for water any more than they have to. I think that it’s a good idea to get a filter so that the contaminants are removed, just as you talked about.

There has been an ongoing talk around the neighborhood about the presence of radon in the water we drink. I’ve been worried about the welfare of my family, but your article help shed light that we might request a water quality report from our building manager.
